Washer Repair at Your Home in Miami, Broward and Palm Beach

If your washer has stopped mid-cycle, we repair it at your home in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. A $75 diagnostic visit starts the job, and that $75 is waived if you go ahead with the repair.

The same person answers the phone and does the repair: Tirso.

Why won't my washer drain?

A washer that stops with water still in the drum often has a clogged or failed drain pump, or a drain hose that is kinked or blocked. A paused cycle or a rinse hold can look the same, so read the display first.

Do not force the door. Many washers keep the door locked while there is water inside, and forcing it can put that water on your floor. Lay towels at the base and call.

Why won't my washer spin?

Agitating is the washing motion; spinning is the high-speed turn that wrings the water out. If the drum fills and agitates but the clothes come out soaked, the spin is the part failing.

An out-of-balance load often makes a washer stop to protect itself. Once the door unlocks, spread the clothes out evenly, take out one heavy item such as a bath mat or a wet comforter, and start again. A lid or door switch, the motor or a belt can also be the cause, and those are not home jobs.

Why is my washer shaking or walking across the floor?

Shaking usually comes from an unevenly packed drum or from a machine that is not sitting level, and worn suspension parts can add to it. Press down on opposite corners of the top: if the washer rocks, tell us. Do not tilt it, drag it or reach underneath. If it bangs hard, stop the cycle.

Why is my washer door stuck locked?

Many washers lock the door during a cycle and for a while after it ends, and a power cut mid-cycle can leave it locked. Let the cycle finish, then look at the display for a lock light or a message. Do not pry the door; prying can break the latch.

What does the error code on my washer mean?

The meaning of a code varies by brand and model, so a code tells us little without the model. If the display shows an error code, put it in your request. Write down the code exactly as shown, plus the model number.

Why won't my washer start or fill with water?

A washer that does nothing, or does not fill, is sometimes only missing power or water. Check that the plug is seated, reset a tripped breaker once, close the door or lid completely, and look for a child lock or lock icon on the display. If you can reach the hot and cold faucets, make sure both are fully open. A clogged inlet screen or failing valve can also stop the fill; neither is a home job.

Stop and call if you smell burning, see smoke or sparks, or water runs toward an outlet. For smoke or fire, call 911.

What does the visit cost?

A washer call opens with the $75 diagnostic visit. Agree to the repair and that visit costs you $0. The repair is quoted and billed separately: you get a flat-rate quote before any work starts, and we use OEM parts where they're available. Say no, and you pay the $75 and nothing more (pricing in full).

What should I tell you when I call?

If the display shows an error code, put it in your request. We can't quote a repair from a description over the phone, and we would rather say so than guess.

  • The brand, whether it loads from the front or the top, and the model number if you can see it.
  • Where in the cycle it stops: won't fill, fills but won't drain, drains but won't spin.
  • When it started, and whether there is water on the floor.

Which washer brands do you repair?

For washers, the list is Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire and Maytag, plus more; if yours isn't named, call and ask.

FAQ

Why won't my washer spin?

An out-of-balance load often makes it stop, and a lid switch, motor or belt can also be behind it. Spread the clothes out and try again, and if it still won't spin, that is what the diagnostic visit is for.

Can I open the washer door when there is water in the drum?

Do not force it. Many washers lock the door while water is inside, so wait for the cycle to end or cancel it from the display, and call if it stays locked.

What do I pay if I decide not to repair the washer?

You pay the $75 and nothing more. If you go ahead with the repair, the visit costs you $0.

What should I write down for an error code?

The code exactly as the display shows it, and the model number. The meaning varies by brand and model, so put both in your request.
